What is the process and how long does Certification take?

  • The ISO 9001 certification cycle covers a period of 3 years.
  • The certification committee is responsible for granting or refusing certification, extending or reducing the scope of certification, suspending or restoring certification, or withdrawing or renewing certification.
  • Surveillance audits are conducted at least once a year.
  • The date of the first surveillance audit shall be no later than 12 months from the date of the certification ruling.
  • The re-certification audit must be planned and carried out before the certification expiration date.
