FSSC 22000

FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) is the Global Food Safety Standard for food manufacturing, created by the Foundation for Food Safety Certification. It is a certification model scheme that applies to companies that are part of the food industry. This scheme ensures the control of latent food safety risks.
It was created to provide certification to food manufacturers and is supported by the Confederation of the Food and Drink Industries of the European Union (CIAA).

It is based on the ISO Food Safety standard and is widely recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), which supports the model and its application around the world.
The reference framework requested by FSSC 22000 includes: ISO 22000, prerequisite programs, good practice monitoring, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) principles, without leaving aside the specific FSSC requirements.

Risk control management follows three main points:

  • Identify
  • Control
  • And minimize

This will help your company to work under guidelines adapted to each process in the best way, always preventing to fall in a risk or danger.
