ISO 9001 standard in the education sector

The ISO 9001 standard in the educational field evaluates and certifies all processes related to teaching and student learning in order to guarantee the quality of the educational institution, which is necessary in an increasingly competitive environment.

The authorities in charge of their campuses have the responsibility to investigate how to apply the ISO 9001 standard so that it can function as a tool for continuous improvement of educational quality.

The QS World University Rankings is a university publication that includes the world’s rankings in different subjects, where the best universities are named for the study of 48 different subjects and five areas composed of professors, together with their independent regional tables that focus on each country.

The latest results of QS World University Ranking – Mexico that have been thrown were in January 2019, where the 50 best universities in Mexico stand out, the decisions are mentioned below by their position within the ranking:

This ranking identifies that the selected universities have different types of certifications. One of these certifications is the international certification ISO 9001: 2015 , which focuses on quality management systems; such is the case of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla, a university certified since April 2016.
